SEV Helps 1st Wilmington Scouts Fund Raising

It is with profound regret that the Trustees of The Stock Exchange Veterans have been forced to postpone the 61st Annual Gala Dinner this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Trustees would like to express their appreciation for both the venue, The Tower Hotel, and the organisers, Goodacre, for all their work and support to date and we look forward to working with them again another time when we intend that the Gala Dinner returns bigger and better than ever since we will all have a great deal of catching up to do with our friends and supporters.

Unfortunately this cancellation greatly reduces the Charity’s income this year and will prevent it from supporting the many good and worthy causes who apply. Our funds are depleted and we must await the next fund raiser to refill the coffers.

Furthermore, the Annual Memorial must be postponed until further notice.

The Stock Exchange Veterans are a group of like minded volunteers, predominantly who have a history of working in finance in the heart of the City of London. We pride ourselves on reaching out to smaller charities that may not have the same support and exposure that others larger entities have.

SEV assists 1^stWilmington Scout Group in their fund raise towards a desperately needed upgrade to the flooring in their hut, used by 200 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. £500 Committed to 1stwilmingtonscouts.org.uk
